Cariquima - 3D Texturing Software
A downloadable tool for Windows
Paint directly on your 3D models
Cariquima is a PBR texture painter for game artists. Import your mesh, bake its maps, and build your look with materials that respond to its geometry—from worn edges to dirt in crevices.
Paint, customize, and export textures for Blender, Unreal Engine, or Unity.
Create materials your way
- Seven Smart Materials. Start with Metal Wear, Dirt Accumulation, Rust Bloom, Scratches, Grunge Fabric, Gem Rock, or Weathered Wood. Each material is an editable layer group you can customize.
- Choose where materials appear. Stack Smart Materials and assign them to parts of your mesh by clicking the model.
- Build and reuse masks. Use nine Smart Mask recipes, save your own, or import an image as a grunge mask with invert, contrast, and tiling controls.
- Paint across nine PBR channels. Work with pressure, flow, brush alphas, mirror painting, lazy mouse, and smear—even across multiple texture sets.
- Adjust your layers. Refine the result with Levels, Blur, HSL, Sharpen, and Blur Slope.
Bake and export
Bake Position, World Normal, Curvature, Cavity, AO, Thickness, Bent Normal, and ID maps, plus Normal and Height from a high-poly mesh.
Work with 1K, 2K, and 4K texture sets, then export PNG or EXR files with packing presets for Unreal Engine and Unity.
Projects are stored as folders, with autosave and crash recovery to help protect your work.
Cariquima is still in active development. Please review the current features and limitations before buying.
Current limitations
The beta does not yet support changing an existing project's resolution, UDIM, anchor points, line and rectangle tools, gradients, stencils, Paint by Faces, or 8K textures.
Currently available for Windows only.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11
- A Vulkan-capable GPU compatible with Godot's Forward+ renderer
- A mesh with UVs: OBJ, FBX, or glTF/GLB. High-poly meshes used for baking do not require UVs.
Tested on NVIDIA RTX 3080 Laptop, NVIDIA RTX 4060, and AMD Radeon PRO W7700 GPUs.
Feedback and support
Found a bug? Leave a comment with what happened, what you expected, and the steps to reproduce it.
You can generate a diagnostics ZIP from About → Export diagnostics…. It contains GPU, driver, and session information that can help investigate the issue.
Planned improvements
- Anchor points and UDIM
- Preferences and 8K texture support
- macOS and Linux support
These are development plans, not features included in the current build. Timing and release availability may change.
